Catching Up #002
Between working, trying to figure out all these new adulthood things, getting acclimated to the east (and the weather that just keeps getting colder by the day), this is the busiest I've been in my entire life — and I love it. Of course, it isn't fun being stressed (and driving my boyfriend absolutely insane with how stressed I am... Thank you for being so patient with me). Despite that, I am in a really good place in my life. I'm independent, I'm working really hard at my job which I love, I'm paying my bills, I'm meeting new people, I'm soaking in every second of life and I'm thankful to wake up each morning. I'm so in love with life at the moment, and it feels wonderful.
My morning walk to the bus stop by my apartment looks like this. There's a forest next to my building and all the leaves are changing the most outrageous falls colors right now, and it's the best way to wake up in the morning. Also, I like this door. I have a thing with doors.
My apartment and neighborhood is straight out of a dream. I'm so in love with it! It's so cute. There's a fountain, koi pond and pool in the center of the complex. And the past few days have been so beautiful and sunny, that it was really nice to go out and explore it a bit.
This week was also a good mail week. One thing you have to know about me is that I absolutely love getting mail, I love the smell of newspapers, I love opening letters and running my fingers over the ink. My friend Carmen (visit her at www.gokotta-blog.com) sent me some prints that she created, and I'm in love with them! I've been wanting some unique pieces to decorate my new apartment with, and these will be perfect! You guys should check her out, she's really creative and she takes amazing photos!
This week has been absolutely insane so far, but there's a lot of things I'm looking forward to, which I will share a little bit later. Good things are happening!
