Catching Up #007

A month has passed by since I've last posted here, and it doesn't seem like it's been that long! This year is flying by (we're already a quarter of the way through 2016) and I'm totally okay with it.

I would like to be able to say that I haven't written anything because I've been out and about doing fun things and taking lots of photos, but the truth is the exact opposite. I've been busy with other things, "real life" things like working and doing my taxes (gross). The other day, I had to get out of the house and my idea of getting out and doing something was going to the grocery store... Is this seriously what my life has become? In my defense though, blueberries were on sale.

I've actually been so busy/not busy that I haven't even taken any photos. I remember when I lived in Hawaii and Oregon, I took pictures all the time, everywhere, every day. I miss that. I want to get back into documenting my days with photos, even if I'm not doing much of anything.

One thing that I have been doing a lot more of lately is writing in my journal, which is something that I haven't done in a few months. I used to write every day, sometimes twice a day, just because it felt nice to put my thoughts down on paper. Last week, I started writing down some thoughts, quotes, and scriptures that I found helpful and inspiring. It's actually been a great stress reliever. I follow a few people on Instagram who journal inspirational things and bible verses (like Manda and Brittany).

One more thing: I've been running every morning (when it doesn't rain/snow) and I'm loving it so far! I've never been really big on running, but it's a great way to start my day and I like getting some fresh air and seeing my neighborhood in its quiet state before it gets loud and busy.

Here's to hoping for another solid week! (And maybe more photos. It's supposed to be in the 70s and sunny!)
