Summer in Canada

A few weeks ago, I flew up to Canada to do some business-related things (more on this soon!), and while I was there I was also able to celebrate my birthday! It's always such a fun time when I'm able to spend time with my boyfriend and his family. Here are photos from my trip!

I went to Canada for adult things, which I'll share about in a separate blog (it's huge news!). And when I got my photo taken, the photographer told me I had a "good mugshot face" whatever that means!

My flight was delayed both going there and coming back home because of the weather, but God painted the most beautiful sky for me and then everything was fine again. The little things!

All this time, and I still get butterflies when I see him.

My boyfriend's dad and I have birthdays that are close together, so we celebrated by having one giant birthday and "welcome to Canada" party. It was so much fun, and I felt so special to be surrounded by some of my most favorite people! Also, my boyfriend's mom needs her own cooking show. I always eat so well when I'm at their house!

Every single night, the sky lit up in oranges, pinks, and purples and made me so happy! There's something about Canadian sunsets that's completely unlike any other place I've been.

For my birthday, my boyfriend took me to a Brad Paisley concert and we also saw Maddie and Tae and Tyler Farr! It was the best country concert I've ever been to because Brad can shred! I couldn't stop smiling the whole night. And not only was it an incredible concert, it was also a full moon so we were dancing to our favorite songs under the most beautiful summer moonlight. It was perfect.

Canada, I absolutely love you.

My boyfriend and I had lots of fun little dates while I was there. Little things like playing basketball in his backyard, watching his brother play soccer, or going for ice cream. It's always a fun time with him. I'm a lucky girl!

We made a trip to Niagara with some friends, and it was the most beautiful day!

And on the last day... We went on a hike and ate yummy food (of course!)

This trip went by so quickly because I was so busy every single day. But as always, we had so much fun. I was also really happy to meet some of Jay's family from Holland and some of his friends from college. Canada cried (stormed really, really badly and delayed my flight by 3 hours) when I left, but I'll be back so soon! I'm counting down the days!
