Catching Up #016

I've been thinking about my blog, and there are so many things I want to do with it, but I just haven't gotten around to it. One thing I have done: I redesigned it! I loved the old look, but I was getting bored of it. Now it's much more simple, with some of my favourite, most recent photos showcased on the front page. I'll change it periodically, I think! I also really want to start writing more personal, poetic things. I love updating and posting photos, but I want to tap into my creative writing more. I used to write so much, and I miss that a lot. I also want to do some more design work, because I love designing business cards, resumes, and websites, but I don't know if I would have the time/energy after my regular life stuff is done every day. What do you think? Would you be interested in me designing stuff?

I think last week was our last real snowstorm, because it was 14 degrees today and it's supposed to be in the teens and sunny all this week, too! Today after church, we opened the sunroof in our car and it got me really looking forward to the summer time. I didn't realize how much I missed the sunshine until today.

This Valentine's Day was our first together, because this time last year we were still long distance. So our day was really special. Every day I get to spend with him is special, but when we're able to be together during fun holidays, I feel extra grateful. Jay treated me like gold. I came home from work to roses, chocolates, and lots of kisses. I'm so lucky.

The skies have been getting lovelier and lovelier by the day. It gets me excited to wake up in the mornings, and more sunshine throughout the days has also been doing wonders for my moods as well. It's the little things!

A few weeks ago, I had an eye infection and couldn't wear my contacts or makeup for 2 weeks. Now, my eyes are healthy and I ordered new glasses. These ones are really neat because they have a special lens that helps filter out the blue light of computer screens, so my eyes won't be as strained and irritated. If you spend 80% of your day on the computer like I do, you should check these out! I'm in love with them.

Last but not least, I HAD to add in a little Jude appreciation because she's the cutest kitten ever and she's growing up too fast. Also, we're taking her to get fixed this week, which I'm so excited about because she's psycho when she's in heat. She's a blessing, but she's also driving me nuts. Also, I find that I talk about her like she's my child. But isn't that what all crazy cat ladies do?

Have a great week!
