Books I’ve Read This Summer

Since being on this great American road trip, I’ve had nothing but time to read… and read… and read… And it’s been GREAT! In nearly every town I visit, there’s a “Free Library” (you know, the cute little libraries on the side of the road). And at almost every campground, there’s a library filled with books campers have left behind! So, while traveling I’ve picked up a lot of great books I never would have discovered otherwise. Here are the books that I’ve read this summer (so far). 😎 There’s a good mixture here, some religion/philosophical books, some fantasy, some mystery, and some crime. I’ll break them up into two categories. Books that will make you think The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism | Timothy Keller If you’re a Christian who also believes in science, faith can be hard at times. Have you ever caught yourself wondering why God lets bad things happen? (Cancer, job loss, wars, mass shootings.) Are you a believer of science, evolution, dinosaur fossils, The Big Bang? …

Books on my Shelf Right Now

Since my last reading list post, I’ve picked up a few new books and rediscovered two old favorites! I’ve been loving the time I carve out to read, it never fails to take me to another place and time – and we all need that sometimes. Here’s what’s on my book shelf right now. I picked it up because Stephen King was raving about it – and what do you know, he was right. This book is so well-written and terrifying at the same time. I don’t want it to end. The Desire Map | Danielle LaPorte I’ve talked about this book a lot, and if you’ve been here for a long, long time, you’ll remember when I first picked this up back in 2015. Since I’ve been going through tons of changes in my life lately, and in the next few months I will be going through even more, I recently powered …

Books I’m Reading Right Now

I used to read and write every single day, but over the years I slowly got busier and busier and didn’t have time for it anymore. But lately, I’ve been prioritizing my passions and now I make time to read and write every day! Here are books I recently picked up. Big Magic | Elizabeth Gilbert I’ve been wanting to read this for a long time, because I’ve seen it everywhere. And now that I’ve started writing my book (more on that later), it seemed like the perfect time to pick up a book about living your best creative life. I just finished this a couple days ago and I loved it. It’s full of motivation that slaps you right in the face and it’s what got me to finally sit down and write the first page of my book! If you have a dream or a goal, but think it’s silly or are afraid to start because you’re afraid of failure, go pick this up. Eat Pray Love | Elizabeth Gilbert Since I’m going …
